Epic sounding, bombastic, over blown, and as exhilarating as a self destructive teenage
meltdown. Fat Out of Hell defies criticism as its very weaknesses of tasteless gross
excess become its virtues.
Crank up the volume and get a natural adrenalin rush as Chicot takes pop music screaming
right over the cliff of good taste at full throttle.
This album was rumored to be the death knell for the Mound of Sound sound, as apparently
when William Inspector heard this record for the first time he took a hammer to his
mixing desk and trashed his volume knobs. (...For that alone Music thanks you)
